The Ballinrobe Community School Trad group was founded over a year ago by Ms Murphy. It has increased in numbers ever since. There are many students in the Trad group and a great variety of instruments played by the students.

Students enjoy use of Claremorris Leisure Centre

Students from every year group have been making their way to Claremorris Leisure Centre as part of their PE classes this month. The Junior students have been getting swimming lessons and aero-cycle classes whilst the senior students choose between swimming and using the top-of-the-range fitness suite upstairs.

BCS Seniors suffer agonising defeat in Championship game

The Boys Senior Gaelic Football team lost to Balla Secondary School in their Championship game played Tuesday 17th. The forwards failed to convert their chances and they bow out with a 2 point defeat.

TY Concern Debate

Students from Transition Year took part in the final leg of the league phase of the ‘Concern Debating’ competition against Ard Scoil Mhuire, Ballinasloe on Tuesday 10th January 2012. The team put in a great performance but Ard Scoil Mhuire were deemed the winners.

‘Footloose’ a fantastic success

After 2 matinees and 3 evening performances last week our TYs have well and truly earned their upcoming Christmas break. The whole school community is extremely proud of the immense work put in by all the students and staff involved. Full report and pictures to follow soon! Watch this space.
